World-class Whitewater Rafting in Panama’s Chiriqui Province

The unique topography in the Province of Chiriqui, creates the ideal scenery for any whitewater rafting aficionado, offering over 35 rivers in Panama for whitewater rafting.

Tours range from beginner to advanced depending on the river classification and the water levels, which vary according to season.

Panama Seasons:

Dry Season – December through April

Rivers become more tame, the Chiriqui Viejo River, which normal has 5 distinct sections, still maintains a class III-IV level, which makes this a great river to learn. If you have a couple of days to go exploring the Caribbean side of Panama is home to many great rivers, that run even in the dry season.

Rainy Season – May through November

Is characterized by blue skies and sunny mornings and rains during the afternoon. The rainiest time is from July through early November, with river peaks during September and October.

Skill Level and Fitness:

We can accommodate to any skill level, please let us know what experience you have while making the reservation. For whitewater rafting in Panama you should be in good physical condition. We can make accommodations according to your physical level.

Age Limits:

Class II/III: Minimum age is 7 years

Class III/IV: Minimum age is 10 years

Class IV/V: Minimum age is 14 years

What to bring:

Clothes to swim (shorts, shirt, hat)
, dry clothes and towel for after the trip, 
sun block, 
water bottle (extra water is provided)
, shoes that will not come off your feet while swimming, and 
passport or cedula.

Tour Information:

Full day

Minimum 3 people, maximum 18 people

Leaves Boquete at 7:00 am, hotel pickup or meet in Los Establos on Main Street Boquete, return at 3:00 pm.

Overnight

4 person minimum

Includes transportation, equipment, guides and lunch
