Whale and Dolphin Watching Tours in Panama

Come and meet the Whales and Dolphins of Panama.  They are extending a personal invitation to you all.  They would like to help you relax, take time for yourself to play and enjoy life again.

Panama is the only place in the world blessed with Humpback whale migrations from both the  Southern and Northern hemispheres.  During the Southern hemisphere Humpback whale migration,
 July-November each year, we have a 95% chance of spending time with the whales.  Of course, with any natural wildlife observation there is no way to guarantee sightings. However, we do guarantee we will do our best to find the whales and dolphins for you.

Panama waters are home to over 30 species of cetaceans (dolphins and whales).  In the Pearl Islands, (home to 2 seasons of the Survivor TV series)  there are crystal clear turquoise waters and many islands, some deserted, where you can swim, beach comb, snorkel as well as swim or observe from a glass bottom boat the Whales and Dolphins as well as Manta Rays, Sea Turtles and even Whale Sharks that frequent these waters. In addition to all the colorful tropical reef fish found here.

Whale and Dolphin Watching Tours

Come spend 5 days in August-October in the tropical Pearl Islands of Panama.  We will spend each day out on the water with the whales and dolphins.

Combine a 2 or 3 day whale and dolphin watching trip to the Pearl Islands into your Panama vacation.

Or take a 1 day whale watching tour from Panama City, with a stop on Taboga Island for lunch and a quick swim in the clear and warm tropical waters. Available July through October.

One Day Trips

Come spend the day with the Whales and Dolphins here in Panama. We take a boat out from a port near Panama City and head out past Isla Taboga looking for whales.  Of course, there is never any guarantee when looking for wildlife, however, it is very likely we will see the whales and dolphins are common sights as well as manta rays, sea turtles and maybe even whale sharks!

We spend several hours, ideally with the Whales and Dolphins back behind Isla Taboga, and then we stop at Isla Taboga for a lunch in one of the local seaside restaurants and we even have time for you to take a quick, refreshing dip in the ocean before we head back to Panama city.

2-3 Day Trips

Spend 2-3 days out in the Pearl Islands, Panama observing and swimming with the Whales and Dolphins. A perfect addition to your Panama trip.  Or a great way to spend a weekend if you live here. The Pearl Islands are a short 15 minute flight from Panama City.  You can be in the city for breakfast and be sitting on a boat observing the whales and dolphins that afternoon!

Packages vary from 
1 night/2days,  
2 nights/2 days,  
2 nights/3 days 
or can be custom designed to suit your needs.

Packages include pick up in Panama City, flight to Contadora Island, comfortable lodging at the Contadora Island Inn,  daily boat charter to see the whales and dolphins, an interpretive guide who is both knowledgeable about the biology and behavior, as well as the Spiritual aspect of the cetaceans, and all breakfasts and lunches. Dinners are on your own.

5 Day Trips

We leave from the local Panama airport on Sunday afternoon and take a short 15 minute flight out to the Pearl Islands south of Panama city.  We will stay at the very comfortable and homey Contadora Island Inn. 
We will head out each day on a beautiful 44′ catamaran hybrid and eco friendly sail boat, Rebelle,  to spend time with the Whales and Dolphins found easily in the waters here.

All Tour prices include:

1 night hotel in Panama city at The Balboa Inn
Flight from Panama City to the Pearl Islands and back
5 nights at the comfy Contadora Island Inn in the Pearl Islands
Boat charter each day on the Catamaran or Glass bottom boat
All meals on the island, except 1 night out at a local restaurant
