This amazing hike takes you to the private estate of Falling Waters Nature Reserve in the virgin cloud forest which surround the perimeter of Volcan Baru National Park.
Go back in time and retrace the steps of pre-Columbian Indians as you pass by pools where they panned for gold or go into the caves where they extracted the clay to make artersanal vessels of that period.
The trail parallels Quebrada La Mina, a pintoresque creek which meanders through the cliff’s edge in the valleys about Boquete, until finally spilling into the Caldera River. This hike offers you the unique opportunity to see beautiful waterfalls and more than 220 bird species, including some very rate as the Resplendent Quetzal.
Explore an underground cave, enjoy a picnic at the base of a waterfall, and rejuvenate with an invigorating shower in what is for sure going to be a life long experience.

Overnighter Trip Information
Minimum for both options: 2 people
Skill Level: Beginner to expert
Fitness: You should be in good physical conditon.
What to bring: fleece and/or rainjacket, comfortable shoes for hiking, sun block, water bottle (extra water is provided), passport (or copy) or cedula and camera.
Time: 8:00 am pickup in your Hotel in Boquete or at Plaza los Establos on Main Street Boquete, return around lunchtime.
NOTE: During the rainy season (May-Nov), this trail can be quite slippery in places.
