The tourist season to tour the Panama Canal will formally start on 24 January 2011 and is expected to culminate on April 18.

Throughout the summer, the high season of tourism in Panama, daily transits through the Panama Canal will be offered for four hours.

During the months of August to November 2011, the tours will resume again three times a week.

Tours may be in any of the three ships with a capacity of 100 to 400 people and all include transportation from hotels to docks in Amador or Gamboa, bilingual guide, snacks and buffet lunch.

The boat will depart from La Playita de Amador, tour the Miraflores Locks, Pedro Miguel Locks, the Culebra Cut and end at Gamboa.
