Sereia do Mar is located on the beautiful Azuero Peninsula on Panama’s Pacific Coast. A small fishing village, El Ciruelo, provides the setting for this rustic, sea-side Colonial style hotel. The rooms offer comfortable lodging, each with an ocean view and outdoor dining.
A short walk takes you to the waters edge, where you can see the local fishermen arriving with their freshly caught fish. Then take a swim or a stroll along the beach to look for sea shells.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.
Begin breakfast with a cup of Panamanian coffee, which is some of the best in the world.
Locally grown tropical fruit will be served.
Other offerings include: juice, milk, oatmeal, toast, cereal, honey, ham, cheese, butter and marmalade.
Eggs are optional: Boiled, fried or scramble: US$ 1.00
Omelet with onion, tomato, green pepper, ham and cheese: US$ 2.00
If you would like to have breakfast before 7:00 am, please consult viability with the manager. If its yes, there will be a cost of US$ 3.00 in order to pay employee’s overtime.
If you would like to use the kitchen, the cost will be US$ 5.00 per day. You can use all accessories you need as long as you leave them clean after use and take the rest of fish/shrimp skins out to the sea.
The fridge and food cabinets are for hotel use only. We recommend you to save your food in the fridge and cabinet from your room, this way we avoid confusion with other’s people food.
For Laundry service pay US$ 3.00 for 1 wash and 1 dry.
Rooms
Sereia do Mar Hotel is a fishing and surfing lodge, designed by the premier Panamanian architect, George Moreno. The building exemplifies beautifully detailed construction, featuring artisan concrete building techniques, accented with the local wood, corotu.
Four lovely rooms are available. Each room has a private bath with hot water, shower, air conditioning, orthopedic mattresses, refrigerator, TV and DVD.
- Two rooms with two double beds
- Two rooms with one double bed and one single bed.
The full capacity of the hotel is fourteen people.
Breakfast is served on outdoor dining patio with a beautiful ocean view.
Garden hammocks provide the perfect location for an afternoon siesta.
Check in: 1 pm
- Check out: 12 pm
Pets: Only friendly pets accepted.
Silence Time: The silence time in the outdoor patio is from 9:00 pm until 6:30 am in order to respect others guests that want to rest.
There is no silence time in the rancho area, so feel free to stay longer there, it’s very comfortable too.
Also, you can have fun making fire in the beach at night.

Hello, My husband and I are wondering what are the rates for September? We know it is the rainy season – but – how many hours a day does it rain? Is it still sunny, can you still fish?

Sereia do Mar is located in Pedasi which is known as the dry arch in Panama, in the rainy season you might get some rain in the afternoon, but it is not a place in Panama where you would have to be concerned about it raining all day as it does in other destinations like in Boquete during Sept/Oct or in Bocas in Dec/Jan (which is high season because of the amazing waves)

From viewing the pictures it would appear one can walk down to the beach and surf fish along the beach. Correct or is it actually dotting with boats in the water? I only mention because you say panga operators are nearby. I would like to be able to troll but my daily interest is in walking or taking transport down the beach looking for bait and bird activity and casting into the surf for whatever is out there. Is this the area to do surf fishing or is there another spot that you can recommend? Either way please forward August 11 rates. thanks is advance.
