Diving Sites in the Pearl Islands

Diving sites are all relatively close to the dive center in Contadora Island. We leave from Contadora Island and arrive within approximately 10 minutes in a quick boat.

The Pearl Islands are a collection of more than 100 islands. The origin of the majority of the islands is volcanic rock. This large variation of islands provides various natural nutrients and minerals, resulting in an abundance of sea life. The bottom holds a wide variety of rock formations, beautiful sea coral, including orange coral, brain coral and other coral that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world.

Diving in the Pacific Ocean is very different than diving in the Caribbean Sea, as there are much larger variety and abundance of fish. You might see butterfly fish, angel fish, sand fish, parrot fish, various eels, different types of tuna, brown sharks, reef sharks, sting rays, manta rays, lobsters, oysters and much more…

Sites

The Channel: is a rocky place where the geography is very interesting, the diving depth goes from 20 to 60 feet, with formations of platforms and eaves. The marine life is abundant, schools of fish, lines, brown sharks, depending on the tide when we go diving we can dive with the drift.

The Cave: this site is a must see, with channels and passageways winding between two islands. Sharks and other marine life. Maximum depth is 10 meters.

South Coral: this site is designed for beginners, maximum depth of 8 meters with a bounty of coral life.

North Coral: this is an intermediate level site. In July the visibility is of more than 100 feet with a constant abundance of fish and other marine life.
