Hotel Amenities:

Punta Galeon Resort is located on a cliff right next to Playa Galeon. The hotel is located in front of the airport so a minute walk takes you to the entrance.

The hotel has a lovely pool for you to relax and sip tropical beverages from their bar. A separate pool for children, allows for parents not to worry about their young ones.

A bar restaurant, La Popa, is located right next to the pool, which has an international menu, including plenty of fresh sea food options. Punta Galeon Hotel has another restaurant as well which is currently being remodeled.

A deck area is located on the top of the hotel overlooking a cliff. Contadora Island has amazing sunsets, which provide a romantic scenery for couples. Off the cliff you can look in low tide to the rocks, which have been carved as animals and sea creatures by an artist who stayed in the hotel for a month. Stairs allow you to go to the rocks which will provide entertainment.

Activities to do in Contadora Island

Fishing in Panama

Panama fishing is ranked as one of the best in the world. The Pacific of Panama is an excellent area to catch the bigger fish. Expect to fish for Dorado, Tuna, Red Snapper, Grouper, and even Sailfish!

Panga Fishing

One option is to go fishing on a Panga. This is getting back to basics. There are several fisherman around the island that can take you fishing on one of these wood cutouts with a 15 HP motor. Typically you will troll for medium to large size fish in and around the islands, but never too far off shore.

Sport Fishing

If you want to go for the big fish this is your option! There are several fishing charter boats available in the Island with full crews to make your outing as comfortable as possible.

Scuba Diving in the Pearl Islands

Contadora Island has a full service PADI certified center to take you diving to several of the islands. Expect a full variety of fishes, manta rays, whales, turtles, etc. Contadora is also a great place to go snorkeling for those who prefer this option. Also for those who are not certifies why not take this opportunity to start diving!

Sailing the Pearl Islands

Contadora Island offers sailing day trips or overnight trips based on your needs. There are several large sailboats available to charter for these trips.

Beaches of Contadora Island

There are 10 gorgeous beaches on Contadora that are just a few minutes away. Punta Galeon Resort rents golf carts and other vehicles so you can get around the island with great ease. Walking is always an option as you can walk across the entire island in less than 30 minutes!
