Bocas del Toro is a tropical paradise with ecological richness recognized worldwide for its marine flora and fauna that attracts the interest of scientists given the degree of uncommonly evolution in young and close to mainland islands.  Have amazing big and well formed coral reefs, proper of the Caribbean marine fauna ideal for snorkeling or diving.

Colón Island: was formed thousand years ago starting form coral reef fossils, many of which are exposed on the central part of the island.  In this part a tunnel crosses the corals preceding an amazing natural cave.  Given these conditions, Colon Island erects in the middle of the Atlantic sea, surrounded by crystalline waters and golden pink sand product of the reefs pigmentation.

Due to this particular condition it is like Noah’s Ark, filled with species, many of them extinguished in the world and could only be found in its ancient forest, as it’s the case of the night monkey, between others.

Bird Island: It is ideal to watch the most exotic bird species of the world, more than an island it looks like a gigantic rock in the middle of the ocean, it is of vital importance for the continental ecosystem, here rest the migratory birds that travel long distances from north to south and vice versa during the continent’s season changes. Depending on the season this island provides refugee to close to 50 species.

Popa Island: Inhabited of almost intact ancient forest, possesses the biggest quantity of vertebrates in Bocas Del Toro, including the flamboyant and beautiful white bat. Between the Indian tribes that populated the island is the Ngobe Bugle who maintains intact their traditions inherit from their ancestors.   Visiting this island is a total experience!

Dolphin’s Bay: The scientists have not being able to decipher exactly the reason with the dolphins conglomerate in this area, it is like a magnet that attracts them to the island, its visitants are amazed, when watching in its natural habitat these marvelous animals, with their breeds playing and coexisting in harmony with humans given that this is a site recognized worldwide for dolphin conservation.

Bastimentos: It is one of the biggest islands in Bocas del Toro, the back part is ideal for surfing, possesses ancient forest conserved as national park, consist of a mammal species population not found on any other place in the world.
