Panama is Promoted as a Tourist Destination

Many entrepreneurs have seen in Panama the perfect place to invest.
To develop strategies to further promote Panama as a tourist destination will be one of the main goals of the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) during their participation in international fairs, according to the entity.
Officials say the agency will seek image and marketing advantages in such meetings, since it is where the main buyers, exhibitors, carriers and operators in major markets attend.
Recently, the ATP took part in The International French Travel Market Top Resa in Paris and others in Chile, France and Poland.
Panama took advantage of the occasion to showcase its bid based on a modern, cosmopolitan city that offers beautiful places to vacation.
Similarly, Panama participated in the exhibition Latin American Travel Mart (TML), which was held in Puerto Varas, Chile, where the country was represented by companies such as Nikki Beach, Hotels Bern, Eco Tours, Copa Airlines, among others.
In Panama, new businesses have opened recently, such as the Hotel Breezes Resort & Spa Panama, located in the community of Bijao, which offers a prime location on the Pacific Coast and counts with 294 rooms, pools, restaurants, beaches and water sports facilities.
According to the Government Authorities, 2.68 million tourists entered Panama in 2008.
In 2007, 967.387 tourist entered by air, 174.709 by land and 278.413 by sea.
