By Car: the drive to Carti takes approximately 2 and a half hours from Panama City. Transportation is available daily in a four wheel drive vehicle. From Panama City you will go to Chepo, then take the Llano Carti-Carti road, where you will go deep into the primitive Kuna Territory.
The weather changes, as it becomes more humid and cool. You will go through the Nusagandi Camp (Biological Conservation Center), where you must pay $6 per person to cross through (only on the way there). Nusagandi is one of the ten areas in the world with the most superior rain forests, according to Smithsonian scientists.
On the road there you will pass by several miradores, which give you the opportunity to take amazing pictures. Before you reach Carti, you must cross a river, which is an exiting part of this adventure (if you do not have an 4×4 SUV, we do not recommend taking your car). At arrival in Carti you must pay $2 per person, for the use of the road.
Panama Travel Group offers transportation to Carti, San Blas.
There are two times available 5 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. We coordinate pickup at your hotel or residency.

By Airplane: there are 12 possible airports to land in the Archipelago, starting from El Porvenir all the way to Puerto Obaldia. Most are commercial flights with Panama’s two internal airlines, Air Panama and Aeroperlas, others are charter flights done by the same airlines or private charters.
Panama Travel Group is an authorized seller for both local airline carrier. Please contact us for prices and itineraries.

By Yacht or sailboat: For the ultimate experience of the San Blas Archipelago, we suggest a yacht tour, crossing through the famous Panama Canal. Yacht allows you better staying accommodations and also the opportunity to go to the most remote islands in this archipelago, which are the Dutch Keys, whose natural beauty is incomparable. Yacht tours allow the most private experience possible, feeling like you are the only person in the world.
Crossing the canal is expensive so this option is only available to those with a very comfortable budget. Another option is to take a sailboat once you reach San Blas and visit the different islands.

As part of our services we include any of the above options in your trip package to San Blas.

Hi,
I am planning a trip to San Blas. I will be arriving on April 14th at 12:00pm and would like to travel the San Blas that day. How much would it be to travel by yacht? That sounds like a great experience!
Also, what do you recommend for accomodations in San Blas. I am traveling alone, but would like to be around young adults. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Brittney
