How to get to Taboga Island?

From Panama City, you can reach nearby Taboga Island by private boat charter, the Calypso Ferry or by helicopter.

By private boat - A water taxi can pick you up on the mainland at Balboa Yacht Club; we can make a reservation for you. The trip takes about 30 minutes.

By helicopter - Take an exciting trip to the island and enjoy a tour of the city on the way. We can introduce you to a reputable helicopter company.

Monday-Wednesday-Friday

Departs Amador Causeway – 8:30 a.m. or 9:30 a.m.

Departs Taboga Island -3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday-Thursday

Departs Amador Causeway – 8:30 a.m.

Departs Taboga Island – 4:00 p.m.

Saturday-Sunday

Departs Amador Causeway – 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. 0r 10:30 a.m.

Departs Taboga Island – 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m.  or 5:00 p.m.

Arrive at least 30 minutes before departure, on busy days the ferries can be full, and there can be unforeseen delays on the city streets. 
Schedules are subject to change, please call in advance.

Located near Mi Ranchito Restaurant, Amador Causeway, about 25 minutes from downtown and a $5 taxi fare. 
This is not Muelle 18 as described in some guidebooks.

National Tours also has an option leaving from Balboa Yacht Club. Leaves at 8 am from panama or 3 pm. comes back at 9 or 4. Trip takes 20 to 30 min.
