How to get to Pedasi in Los Santos?

There are two ways to reach the colonial town of Pedasi in Los Santos Province of Panama: driving and flying.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

Cross over the Bridge of the Americas or Centennial Bridge, heading WEST to Pacific Beaches of Panama and “the interior”.

Head West on the highway, passing:

Landmark Driving time (without stops)

• Coronado – 1 hr
• Penonome  – 1 40 hr
• Aguadulce – 2 hrs
• Divisa – 2 hr 20 mins

TAKING THE DIVISA OVERPASS TO CHITRE

At Divisa you must take the overpass (right hand exit) to head SOUTH towards Chitre. This is your ONLY major turnoff, so don’t miss it. Otherwise, you’ll continue heading to Santiago, heading toward Chiriqui Province and the border of Costa Rica.

From Divisa, heading SOUTH:

• Chitre 40 mins
• Las Tablas 1 hr 20 mins
• Pedasi 2 hrs

CIRCUMVENTING CHITRE

Before you enter Chitre, it is ideal to avoid this large town’s central traffic by taking the bypass toward the Fiesta Casino. Prior to arriving in Chitre, you will see signs for the Fiesta Casino and McDonald’s.

Take the RIGHT turnoff where signs for Fiesta Casino indicate, heading to the town of Los Santos. This leads you past the Hotel Guayacanes and Fiesta Casino, as well as a gas station on the left. You re-connect with the highway at a major intersection with stop light and the Hotel Hong Kong on your left side. Take a RIGHT to continue SOUTH to Las Tablas and Pedasi.

PASSING THROUGH LAS TABLAS

When you enter the town of Las Tablas, continue straight down Main Street. Take a LEFT when you reach the gas station, continue straight and the road ends becoming the highway again, here turn LEFT. Continue onward another 40 minutes to Pedasi.

IN PEDASI

When you enter the town of Pedasi, you will pass a bunch of billboards indicating you’re in town. You’ll also see the local bank, Banco Nacional and the police station on your right.
