Horseback Riding Tours All of the 3 tours depart from Rio Piedra in Colon.

Salto del Tigre (7 hours) – This amazing all day tour is for the more extreme adventurer taking you deep in to the jungle and to the source of the beautiful Rio Piedra. Take a 30-45 minute hike through the jungle and along the river head of Rio Piedra. The Property borders directly with Portobelo National Park, taking you to Salto del Tigre a valley with a series of waterfalls and pools. The tour includes lunch and snacks, but visitors must bring water or beverages.

Embera Horseback Tour (3-4 hours) – combine a horseback riding adventure with visiting the native indiginous trip of the Errebache Embera. The tour begins in our site in Portobelo to mount your horse and enter the Rio Piedra Jungle. This tour can easily be added to the Zipline Canopy Tour to make it a complete day of adventure in Portobelo.

Embera Village – visit local natives which have been in the area for thousands of years and still live in their traditional ways. Come experience their culture and their unique way of life.

Jungle Trot (1.5-2 hours) – is the perfect tour for the mildly adventurous. Take a trip through the jungle and the hills of Rio Piedra, observing the area’s unique vegetation and animal life.

Physical Condition: we ask that visitors take proper judgement of their physical conditons to determine if they are fit to take any of the tours.

River Tubing Rio Piedra or “Stony” River in English, makes a great place to go tubbing. It goes around the property of the Canopy Zipline. Enjoy floating, spashing, swiming and relaxing as the river makes a large loop and allows you to view all the unique plant and animal life of this area. Bring out your inner child as you swing from one of the rope swings! Visitors may rent a tube to float and our guide will accompany you in your journey.
