Additionally the organizers and the Tourism Authority of Panama, which supports such events, are looking for an extraordinary return of advertising media with the arrival of renowned international chains such as ESPN Latin America, ESPN USA, the website most visited connoisseurs of surfing in the United States as surfline.com and surfvillage.com, Wohoo the Brazilian TV extreme sports channel, Surfer Magazine and Zero Gravity.

To Patrick Castagnet, one of the organizers of the event, surfing is one of the most productive segments of the tourism industry, giving the example of Costa Rica which is currently the third world surfing destination, receiving about 1,000 surfers daily; Castagnet considers that Panama has many attractions to offer and high quality waves to play in a segment of that market that generates to that country approximately $ 600 million annually. He also identified that the participants of this competition were “businessmen, sportsmen and investors, which may like the advantages offered by the host country, so that in future this will become a destination for them to revisit as their career develops.”
