Location
Dad Ibe Cabins are located on a private Island with the same name. 8 minutes on boat from the Ailigandi community, district number 2 and 10 minutes from the airport of Mamitupu or Achutupu on Air Panamá or Aeroperlas. Once you arrive to the Airstrip, hotel personnel will be there waiting for you. The travel to the lodge takes about 10 to 15 minutes by boat

Local Area
Dad Ibe lodge is one of the newest and original Lodge in the Kuna Yala Research area. Builded in the center area of San Blas, the hotel offers an unsurpassed view of the Caribbean Sea from all the sides of the Island and also a view of Panama’s Caribbean Mainland and Mountains.
Dad Ibe lodge is builded in one of the 365 islands that forms the Kuna Yala Territory. Nearby the lodge island there are two other small islands (both of them uninhabited).
The Kuna Yala territory is a band of rainforest that extends for 125 miles along the Caribbean coast between Panama City and the City of Colon.

Restaurant
Drawing inspiration from a rich island bounty and the abundance of the sea, the hotel is pleased to offer a range of dining options that celebrate the unique flavors of Kuna´s food. Every meal is a feast for your senses.
The restaurant is located over the water with an excellent view of the Caribbean Sea, the mountains and others islands surrounding Dad Ibe Lodge . Dad Ibe Restaurant offers a variety of both local and tropical food and beverages. Especially if you are looking for sea food, this is the place that you want.

Fresh fish, lobsters or the Special King Crab. You can only find This King Crab in the Caribbean side of Panama. This crab is not available in any another part of the Atlantic Ocean.


This relaxed beach restaurant is reminiscent of a traditional Kuna village. It proposes romantic lunches as well as relaxed dinners.
Bungalows
Dad Ibe lodg offers three cabins in the Island. Offering an important privacy for our guests.
Dad Ibe lodge offers a variety of beautiful, spacious, decorator-appointed luxury beachfront cabins with the pleasures and comforts of home.
The view from the balcony is spectacular , a sea view and the Panama Caribbean mountains side. The Windows open to island breezes, sea and natural coconut palms and the sparkling turquoise Caribbean Sea.


Each cabin has is own private bathroom, featuring all the amenities necessary. Cabins have their own hammocks available in front of the cabin facing the island or in the balcony, facing the ocean. You really wont need air-conditioned cabins, because there is a wonderful breeze in the island night every day. An important thing is that there is no mosquito in the Island, never during the 365 days of the year.

Know the distinctive Caribbean jungle vegetation located in the Kuna Area, including trees, birds and forest.

Visit to the Kuna Indians Community of Ailigandi. One of the most historic Kuna village where the Kuna Revolution was held. View the Kuna Museum (entrance cost of $1) and enjoy the hospitality of the Ailigandi Kuna Citizens.

If you like to explore. The lodge is located near Ailigandi, which means ” Mangrove land” in Kuna Language. You can distinguish different types of mangrove. And it is preserve because it is the area where many animals, as larvae are reproduced and protected by the mangrove’s roots.
Tours are subject to weather conditions and the physical conditions of guests. In the island you can get local beers, white and red wine, sodas, bottle water, rum and whiskey. Snorkeling gear is rented for $8.

Ailigandi The community has a rich living culture, a museum, a Regional Hospital and various tourist spots:
Naka River and Beach: Located about 15 minutes of the Dad Ibe Lodge, is on the coast and from there begins the mouth of the Naka River. Guests can swim in the sea and fresh water from the Naka River.
Fishing and Snorkeling: Around the Dad Ibe Lodge you can snorkel and fish because of its clear waters, making the perfect destination.

Ogob Wili: Located about 12 minutes of Dad Ibe Lodge, you can go swimming in the sea in an area with white sand isle in the middle of the sea, when you see this you will believe that you are in a pool!
Cemetery and Primary Forest Observation: the community in the mainland farms growing rice, pineapples, you can also visit waterfalls and caves and explore the nature of the area.

Ailigandi Community: We will give you a tour to show you the lifestyle of the Kuna culture, shop for crafts, take a tour of the common houses, where they can observe Kuna Library with books and legends of their culture.
