Catamaran Sailing and Snorkeling Adventures in the Bocas del Toro Archipelago in Panama have been running tours for close to four years with great success. Focusing on maintaining an ecologically friendly tour by providing you with information about the area and the etiquette behind snorkeling and protecting the reefs.
They use sails for sailing all day, and when they have to use the motor the catamaran uses diesel which is the cleanest of fuels available. The catamaran is gentle when approaching the dolphins, because they have cut off fins from the local outboard motor tours. This makes the dolphins approach the boat and feel safe to swim in the hulls. Swimming with dolphins is up to you, there can be some sea lice and an occasional jelly fish, but very mild stings.
Movida, the movement, is the name of the boat. She is Fountain Pajots first cat, 42 ft, light and fast and has done three Atlantic crossings. This tour is a hands on experience, feel free to take the helm, raise sails, and navigate.
Tour 1
This tour leaves at 9:30 am and sails to Dolphin Bay, to watch the bottle-nose dolphins.
From there we go snorkeling to a coral reef, nearby mangroves. This reef is unique because it is shallow and lot of colorful coral. You can swim inside the mangroves and explore through the roots where you will be greeted by barracudas, snappers and millions of sardines. In the deeper part you may spy a sleeping nurse shark.
After snorkeling we serve you lunch, a large sandwich and a drink. Then, we sail to a second reef, Coral Cay. This reef is magnificent, full of large brain coral, horn coral, groupers and beautiful angel fish. The two reefs we snorkel at are visited only by our boat. They are incomparable to the “local reefs” alive and full of marine life.
Around this time of the day the wind picks up and we begin to sail home, arriving around 4:45 pm.
Tour 2
This tour leaves at 9:30 am and sails to Boca del Drago beach. On the way we stop for a swim and snorkel at Punta Caracol Bay. This reef is full of large brain coral and reef fish.
From there we sail to our primary destination. Here you spend the afternoon on the beach, and eat lunch in the delicious and affordable beach restaurant Yarisnory. At 2:30 pm we sail home, enjoying fresh pineapple, with the spinaker, arriving at 4:30 pm.

Overnight Excursions
Overnight tours are a great way to explore the islands. Choose your destination and length of trip.
The price is $300 per day up to four people. The boat sleeps four, any additional people will cost $75 per day and will have to sleep on deck or on the beach in a tent. We do provide the tent. Sailing Lessons
Licensed and experienced captains Marcell and Bolivar, will teach you the basic skills about sailing with a 18 feet Hobbie Cat and the big 42 feet catamaran or monohull. After the 3-7 day course you will be able to sail the Hobbie Cat alone!
