Boutique Hotel Cala Mia is a luxury Eco island Resort in the archipelago of Chiriqui, Panama.

Making Cala Mia the perfect location point for aquatic activities, such as world renowned sport fishing in Coiba’s Hannibal Bank or Islas Las Secas; scuba diving in Islas Los Ladrones and Moro Negrito and Isla Afuera for surfing.

Cala Mia as a true Eco Resort is also an “Escape” into nature where you will find and experience birds, monkeys, dolphins, turtles and much more. Half- or full-day snorkeling or beach exploration trips with our own boats and guides are a favorite among our guests! Other hotel activities include birdwatching and horseback riding.

Ecological Policies

Entirely solar powered, Cala Mia offers a truly “Green” and environmental friendly atmosphere. Catering to an ecologically and socially aware clientele, Cala Mia’s staff and owners realize there are certain responsibilities towards the Earth (many menu-items are harvested and produced from Cala Mia’s nearby organic vegetable- and dairy-farm) and its People (the hotel organizes programs to support indigenous people: 5% of your room-rate is dedicated to this).

Luxury Hotel Cala Mia consists of 11 beautiful Bungalows Suites.

The Bungalow Suites at hotel Cala Mia are all designed as a small and elegant home. Each Bungalow Suites has its own “rancho” seating area, with a beautiful thatched roof, handcrafted columns, large sofa and hammocks, and a nicely decorated bathroom with a large hot water shower. Materials and woodwork are home designed and handcrafted by local artisans blending aesthetics, art, quality and functionality into a new standard.

All Suites are less than 10 meters from the sea, with a wonderful ocean view and of beautiful bays, islands, and surrounding nature. Some of them even have direct beach access by private trails.

The airy suites are located in such a way that they take utmost advantage of the permanent fresh evening breezes, making its ceiling-fans almost superfluous and each suite is 100% solar powered.

Included in the room rate: full breakfast, welcome cocktail drink, unlimited use of kayaks and snorkeling equipment.

• By fast boat; pick up at the David airport to Cala Mia with drinks (soft, beer, wine) included: $250.00

• Taxi from David airport to Boca Chica: $45.00 
• Boat from Boca Chica to Cala Mia: $30.00

Cancellations:

• 30 days before the date of arrival: no charge. 
• 29 – 16 days before arrival: a charge equal to 50% of your intended stay. 
• 15 days or less: 100% of your intended stay.
