Getting to El Valle:

There is an excellent road to reach El Valle, it is appropriate for any type of car. You can also take a bus from Panama City or take a tour package which includes transportation and accommodation with a travel agency like Panama Travel Group. Once in El Valle, taxis are found constantly in the streets, you will be charged around $ 2.00 to go anywhere in town.

Activities you can do in El Valle:

Bike Rides: You can rent bicycles. The town is perfectly organized to ride a bike with ease and enjoy the scenery.

Sunday Craft Market: One of the best in the country, has a large variety of crafts, including decorated trays, carved from local wood, stone figures carved soap stone and Panama hats. Unlike other places, in this market can buy directly from indigenous artisans who walk from the mountains surrounding El Valle to this market to sell their works.

Horseback Riding: This is the ideal place for riding, one of the best ways to appreciate the views of the valley and mountains. Everyone in town knows where horses are rented, just ask.

Canopy Adventure: A fun and exciting ride on a harness through the canopy of tropical rain forest.

Zoo “Hacienda El Nispero”: It is surrounded by extensive precious gardens, this zoo has animals and tropical birds that are native to the region, which you will not find in any other zoo in the United States or Europe.

Petroglyphs: Just outside the town is Piedra Pintada, which has pre-Columbian drawings on large stones. Children love to offer tours in exchange for a small stipend. No official explanation on this archaeological petroglyphs.

Chorro del Macho: A waterfall of 85 meters high in the tropical rainforest with an inviting pool at the bottom, where you can take a refreshing swim after a walk or after your bike ride.

Birding: El Valle is one of the best bird watching areas in Panama. You will enjoy seeing the birds along the valley and the Gaital Nature Reserve is excellent for birding walks.

Games of Golf and Beach: Enjoy your days of Golf and Beach in the best facilities available  few minutes away from El Valle.
